Gina Paterson

Gina graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2006. During her tertiary studies, Gina worked at SJQ Legal (now Moores Legal) and Gadens Lawyers as an administrative assistant and law clerk. This early, hands-on introduction to the industry allowed Gina to gain experience in various jurisdictions, including VCAT, Magistrates' Court, County Court and Supreme Court.

Prior to commencing at Kelly Hazell Quill Lawyers, Gina embarked on an overseas sabbatical, during which she worked as a law clerk at Linklaters in London.

Gina has experience in many aspects of commercial dispute resolution, with a focus on contractual disputes, trade practices, franchise disputes, insolvency and debt/personal property recovery. Gina also has experience in commercial drafting / negotiations and advising clients regarding Corporations Act and Trade Practices Act compliance issues.

Gina deals with a range of clients, including companies in the publishing, manufacturing and advertising/PR/marketing industries. In particular, Gina's four-month secondment into the in-house Legal Department of Toyota Australia has given her a better appreciation of commercial realities and risks.
